Chapman hit in the face with a line drive

Aroldis Chapman, also known as "the Cuban missle," is known for his extremely high speed fast ball who set a record at 106mph against the pirates. Chapman was pitching in a spring training game against the Kansas City Royals in 2014, and threw a pitch clocked at 99mph, and the hitter Salvador Perez, smoked a line drive right back at Chapmans face. Chapman was struck with the ball that came back at him at 101mph off the bat. The surgery was done and this image shows the staples that were around his entire face after removing it during the process of his surgery. Now following with another incident the other way around, Giancarlo Stanton.

Stantons face nearly destroyed

Giancarlo Stanton, a former Miami Marlin right fielder, was hit with an 88mph pitch to his face in the 2016 season. The ball hit him clean on the left side of his face. Stantons year was done, and in the image here, you could see how swolen his face was. That didn't stop Stantons career, because the next season he had 59 homeruns in 2017, but it took a while for him to recover. It was all an accident, but a very bad one.

Busters leg is bent an awkward way

Buster Posey, a catcher then and now for the San Fransisco Giants, breaks his leg in 2011. The injury was caused due to a collision at the plate after a ball was hit to right field with a man on 3rd tagging up and crashing right into Posey when his leg bends an awkward way bending towards his other leg.
