Music I like to listen to
Prince (R.I.P 1958-2016) was an American musician, songwriter and singer. He along with some of the members of his band wrote the song Purple Rain (image on the left). I like this song because I have been listening to it since I was younger. My parents really loved this song and that's why I was fimiliar with it since a young age. I love the rythm and the energy portrayed in this song. Prince expressed his meaning behind the song as "When there's blood in the sky – red and blue form purple, purple rain pertains to the end of the world and being with the one you love and letting your faith/god guide you through the purple rain."
Another song I enjoy listening to is "All The Small Things" by Blink 182. (image on the right)I love this band and I always find myself listening to their music. One of the band members wrote the song in contribution to his longtime girlfriend. It's a fun song with a lot of good vibes. Also the original video is pretty funny to watch. The small things in life matter, even if it's just leaving "roses by the stairs,"
Pierce The Veil (image on the left) is personally one of my favorite bands. I often listen to their music and enjoy most of their songs. A song of them I always find myself listening to is "Bulletproof Love". I love this song particularly because it is about a sad lover. The pain of being left alone while not wanting to be. It has a rather happy rythm but the lyrics are quite sorrowful. Sometimes we have to let go... even if we do not really want to.
Panic! At The Disco "I write sins not tragedies"(image on the right) is one of my favorite songs produced by the band. Honestly, I only know a few songs from the band. I do quite enjoy this one and listen to it often. Personally, the lyrics expresses some thoughts of morality. "No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality"
Nickleback "How you remind me" (image on the left). This band takes me back to when I was just finishing middle school and entering high school. I used to love listening to Nickleback a lot. Although I do not listen to them that often anymore, I just thought I should include them because I loved the deepness in the lyrics of their songs. The band makes me remember those years. I like this song because of the rhythm and how deep it is. It is a rather sad song but sometimes sad songs are the best songs.
My Chemical Romance is a band I also find myself listening to often. I love listening to most of their songs especially "Welcome To The Black Parade". The song is about death and how after one dies, you should carry on and the memory of the person who died will also carry on. My favorite verse from the song is "I'm just a man, I'm not a hero Just a boy, who had to sing this song I'm just a man, I'm not a hero I don't care"
