Anime I like to watch
Anime is japanese motion pictures made for both adults and children. I like anime because it is really diverse, not only is it entertaining but it also gives you some insight to life. It contributes to the Japanese culture and it's a way to learn more about new perceptions. Anime can also be a portal to learning Japanese, which is a language I would really love to learn. An anime I really enjoyed to watch was Fairy Tail created by Hiro Mashima. I like Fairy Tail because it focuses a lot on friendship, what true friends are. It also encompasses many battles and journeys, not to mention the comedy mixed in along the way."You don't die for your friends, you live for them." - Natsu Dragneel
One of the first animes I watched was Fullmetal Alchemist. The anime is about two brothers who attempted to bring their mother back to life. She died from the plague which left them devastated and they tried to bring her back using alchemy. Their efforts, however, failed and Edward, the oldest brother, loses his left leg while Alphonse, the younger brother, was being dragged into the gate of truth. Edward sacrifices his right arm to rescue his brothers soul. Throughout the anime they go on journeys in effort to retrieve their normal bodies again. The anime coaches loyalty, love, family, friends and sacrifices. Anime teaches us a lot about life and how our struggles will eventually fade and we will always pull through as long as we keep fighting and never give up.
This is a picture of the anime Fullmetal alchemist(image on the right). Alphonse's soul was placed into an armor to preserve it until he gets his real body back. Edward really loves his brother and this teaches the viewers about real love and loyalty. Edward promised to get Alphonse's body back and that is exactly what he does as at the end they both get their normal bodies back(sorry for spoiling).
Fairy Tail is an anime about a guild who considers each other family. The main characters are Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Erza and Gray(later on Wendy and Carla joins in). At the guild they find jobs posted on the request board with rewards and they go on adventures together to save or help other people in need. I love this anime because it teaches us that family does not only have to be blood related, but family are those who are willing to do anything for you and support you in any way they can. It encompasses friendship, comedy, action and happiness. Each character has a past struggle which they carry along the way and as these evils rise again, they have their friends who are there to make them realize who they are and help them get through it.
Another anime that I would like to include is Gosick. I was absolutely obsessed with this show. It's a detective fiction, mystery and romance anime about a transfer students, Kazuya Kujo, who attends an academy where horror tales and also urban myths are quite popular. At this academy he meets Victorique Du Blois, a smart, talented and beautiful girl who prefers to stay in the library than go to class. She helps detectives solve cases that they struggle to solve themselves. She is considered absolutely brilliant in solving mysteries. As she gets to know Kujo, they form a bond and help solve mysteries together.
Black Butler is about a thirteen year-old boy, Ciel Phantomhive, who lost his family in a fire and was tortured. In his efforts to seek revenge against those who are responsible for torturing him and murdering his family, he sells his soul to a demon called Sebastian Michaelis. In the anime Ciel and Sebastian solve mysteries for the detectives. He is also an undercover spy for the queen herself.
