Good Books
To kill a mocking bird is one of my favorite books I've ever read. Set in the small Southern town of Maycomb, Alabama, during the Depression, To Kill a Mockingbird follows three years in the life of 8-year-old Scout Finch, her brother, Jem, and their father, Atticus--three years punctuated by the arrest and eventual trial of a young black man accused of raping a white woman.
The outsiders is another one of my favorite books. The Outsiders is about two weeks in the life of a 14-year-old boy. The novel tells the story of Ponyboy Curtis and his struggles with right and wrong in a society in which he believes that he is an outsider.
Last but not least is Being Henry David. Th ebook is about a seventeen-year-old boy who has found himself at Penn Station in New York City with no memory of anything --who he is, where he came from, why he's running away. His only possession is a copy of Walden, by Henry David Thoreau. And so he becomes Henry David-or "Hank" and he goes on a long adventure in search for himeself.
